im not sure if i understand you correctly, im thinking u mean that the matrix lights need so much plastic to keep it strong that a small peice of titanium is actually lighter?

thats what it looks like since the scrubs are the exact same truck as the matrix just with 7g difference per truck and use a metal hanger instead of plastic.

Very nice man, got a few pictures to go with it? Now to weigh the decks so we can know what the lightest possible pro set up would be.

Maybe we could order them by weight like this:

Mbs matrix x2 = 2014g ~
scrubs channel x2 = 2000g ~
Anarkite trucks x2 = 2000g 0
Revo trucks x2 = 1950g 0
Trampa infinity x2 = 1940g ~
GI Bionic Springs x2 = 1904g ~
GI bionic Cubes 09/10 x2 = 1814g [ ]
Mbs matrix lite x2 = 1714g ~
Trampa vertigo x2 = 1700g ~
Flame Torsion x2 = 1600g [ ]
Mbs vector pro x2 = 1416g ^
GI skate x2 = 1270g (s)
scrubs skate x2 = 1236g (s)
Mbs ats pro x2 = 1132g (s)
GI skate hollow x2 = 1088g (s)
GI titanium skate x2 = 906g (s)

I wanted to do the bindings. but no one seems to list there binding weight besides trampa

if we could get people to weigh there parts i would like to figure out the weight of innertubes and tires as well. so basicly

things we need to complete this list.
weight of decks
weight of bindings
weight of tires
weight of innertube.
weight of heel straps
and for the hardcore people weight of griptape/trampatape.

It's all cool, and all. And I can see the benefits of lighter boards, but it seems to me that most people seem to forget the most obvious weigh-saving: their body. Is shaving a few grams from your board really going to improve your riding? Maybe, but not as much as losing a few kilos of body fat and toning up those muscles.

the weight that your legs need to move is the issue the more weight the harder it is to spin.
it would be hard if you weighted 90lb and it would be hard if you weighted 250lb

If anyone wants to be of help you could go out and weigh your parts were still missing

I vaguely remember reading a question in a windsurfing magazine where somebody asked 'why spend a fortune on a lighter board, why not lose weight?' Somebody replied with a really good answer, but I forget what it was. It was over 12 years ago mind but you never know, I might have the magazine in the loft or somewhere....

Both trucks pictured are "channel" trucks. It has to do with the single central pivot on a kingpin.
