My inside sources have revealed the actual shape of the new 2010 Jereme Leafe, Do you think this will apply to all the new decks?

I feel like im being a downer but im gonna call it like i see it and i say it looks like a ground kite board template. I know boards and parts will look alike but it seems like mbs has lost innovation.

BTW our own Jimmy Chaos has been using that shape for quite some time now for his Destiny Boards.

Also keep in mind that GI's biggest innovation this year was the introduction of a spring truck so I think if MBS takes a some pointers from GI to improve upon their deck design then everybody wins.

I see quite a bit of pilfering all around. That new MBS top truck is very similar to the lightweight Trampa truck.
The GI spring Bionic is very similar to the MBS Matrix (with angled springs). Edit: with a removable titanium axle stud. Jimmy C has had that "kiteboard" shape for a while now.

Yeah, which means in essence we are getting closer to our goal of compatible parts and a new world order

All true. But as much as mbs is touted as a leader in design i wouldve expected something else.

But I believe the high peformance modifications yet to come will be subtle in appearance.

I guess it speaks a lot about ground and their products if mbs is borrowing from them

MBS has had the kite shape for a while -- it also has some subtle differences. But I believe that kite shape was out there a while before ground had it. Edit: But Ground does have one significant design innovation MBS has not attempted yet.

I would say this is pretty innovative:
Looks like it is the first channel truck with true suspension, either that or it is the first MBS truck with a Torsion Triangle(?). What else could that dampener be doing underneath the kingpin? I mean could it be anything else?

I suspect I know what the inside apparatus is. It is both above and below the kingpin. With the angled springs GI used, something I have wanted to try, it made me think more closely about the bowing I see in my MBS springs. When you compress an MBS spring in a turn/lean it bends with an inward curve toward the kingpin. That apparatus looks to be keeping the springs off the kingpin. I suspect it may be compressible which will make it act as a damper as well. ~~~~~

I must admit. There are some striking similarities.
