![]() The Talon bindings might be the most comfortable bindings I’ve ever ridden. GI has taken initiative to modify the Talon brackets for MBS decks. The 2009 Talon bindings have two placements for mounting the binding. The two options are farthest in or out. Talons take some time to break in, so at first they may seem to not hold your feet in that well but just keep bending the binding pad to help break them in. Soon they will form to your feet and feel great. They can be ridden very tight or loose depending on how you like. The rachet/ ladder strap is very smooth. Unlike f3’s the rachet doesn’t lock up and it is not hard to tighten/loosen the binding. Talons are ideal for 1 footed tricks and bomb plants. Since there is so much padding on them you can throw your foot in without worrying about hurting your foot. If you are a heal strap rider then you will love the comfort of the bindings. The padding eliminates pressure points and your feet will feel fine after every session. Another improvement of the 09 Talons is the binding brackets are made with a stronger metal. My last ones bent first session but those were a bad batch of them. The standard ones however tended to bend. The new brackets are black and they are made with a harder metal. So far they have held up no problem. |

Sweet review by Stlmtboarder, first I had heard about GI making them easier to mount on MBS boards, definately a step in the right direction.
BTW this is just a piece of a big review Stlmtboarder did on his custom set up, so more to come. Good worrk Brian!

GI has the new brackets in stock. however they are low on their talon supply until they get the new batch. but if u call in you can easily get the talons for mbs boards. best binding setup ever!!

I just got off the phone with GI and it sounds like they will have a heel strap coming out along with the rest of the new products. Good news for those of us who love the talons and have been thinking of trying the "locked in" method.
Oh, and btw, they're saying about 60 days for the release of the new line. I hope that holds true. |
