Re: Bargain tube air

Bro, I could buy the country for that.
Thanks to Mr Mugabe's sound fiscal policy, 1 Zimbabwe Dollar = 0.0028 USD.

Ride it til it feels dodgy then replace it. Unless you are planning some crazy shit. This happens with the plastic base plates and tight trucks with hard eggshocks. Keep an eye out for cracks though.

OK bud, give me a shout on here when you are back.

This is the dirt park:http://www.surfingdirt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7677

Would be good to see what someone with skillz can do with it. That would deffinately freak the locals out.

Nice, bet you freaked out some of the locals they don't see many mountain boards. Give me a shout if you are heading over to the east bud. There's a couple of good spots over here, a half decent dirt park local to me and the pitch & put up in Perth are about the best freestyle spots I have found. No...

The turning radius is related to the kingpin angle (tip angle) so wedges are the best bet for altering that as you said but I have heard of people running different sized wheels front and back as well, no idea if it is effective but might be worth a punt.

You could try getting in touch with trampa. Doubt they still make those but they might be able to help regarding size and durometer.

Yeah you can use 6900's they are the same dimensions as the 6800's but designed for heavier loads. I think standard bearings are 8mm thick but I doubt 7mm would make much difference, however it may slightly weaken the hub.

Thanks BG. I got the matrix mounted yesterday, I fitted them a little further down the tip than the bionics so the creases are level with the axle with the matrix mounted MBS way round. Just got to get some epoxy to fill the holes. Also knocked up a set of binding posts to fit a set of F4's without ...

Thanks Ben, some good info there. I am hoping I can keep the geometry pretty close to the GI setup in the hope that will help with the tip angle.

I will need to drill holes for the adjusters as well Sam but I was planning on using a threaded metal insert if the deck itself looks too weak.
