I am playing with one now set up with striker 9's and drake gt bindings at 15 degree. There is about 25-30mm clearance at full tilt so plenty of room for 10's with snowboard boots. We had made sure during the design phase to account for all setups, the idea was to translate the origional mk1design f...

This particular board is a 3 stage fabrication. Without giving away to much our manufacturing process we use autoclave and vacuum pumps with varying methods suited to each part. For a high strength light weight part infusion resin is not the way to go. It is very difficult to control resin content w...

Well, we came up with a name for the board in the end. Following on from the the launch of the Faux-board line up, we are using the name "Faux-Sno Extremist". We think this fits well with this setup.

Aggreed, there have been some attempts at a gas power model but not great ones. We will be prototyping something soon to get a feel things, as we say "you dont know until you try it". We are hoping with all wheel drive to have an efficiant and speedy ride accross the dirt and also be able to commute...

Thanks guys, the setup pictured weighs in at 6.2kg and is suitable for a rider around 85-95kg. The deck weighs 1500g. The layup and manufacturing is long and complex, but the result is worth it! I have plans to build up some titanium and composte mix trucks with a predicted weight of 350g each or 70...

This is a project I was thinking of taking on. With the development in lithium bats and brushless tech it is looking more and more credible as a means to commute. I have a little experiance with rc cars and the tech is much the same, I will do a bit of research and see what unfolds. I was thinking a...

It makes me want to do something like that for our creation but I cant think of any word play that works with Kite Mechanics and NoSno ;0) I would like to try out a Nompa at some point to see how the supple deck of the trampa rides with the NoSno trucks, i can imagine it is quite a sweet ride. We Sh...

Nice work! I think applying brake forces to all four wheels is the way to go. You for one are not applying as much lateral force to four wheels as you would to two wheels for the same amount of breaking. You also ballance the weight of board which can only be a good thing for overall handling. Aweso...

Hi Kryten, I like what you have done there. looks like a sound set up. its been a while since i have played with anything on the bmx scene but i do remember being able to get something called a brake mixer (part of a gyro set). this was used to run gyro's for 360degree turning and braking. you shoul...

We may be looking for some mountainboard comp riders this year and branch away from just kite landboard sponsorship's. If anyone Knows of any top riders looking for an advantage over the competition tell them to ge...

The Kite Mechanics angle

Kite Mechanics have taken on a similar project, the aim is for a board that is super tough that handles well at speed, at home to freeride freestyle and more than light enough for kite based activity. We created a Nosno specific deck with the magic number kick at 27.5 degree. The deck itself is a un...
