I've not tried them myself, but I know the cable disc brakes are good. The only issue I can see with them is the lack of protection for the disc.... If the disc gets bent by rocks it will likely need replacing, I guess it depends on what kind of terrain you'll be using it on. A more robust alternati...

Its fine until you start trying to scrub speed by driving up the verges....

Best evidence of a good day mountainboarding = still feel like your riding as you close your eyes to sleep;-)

9s and the ABS would be best combo, a brake isn't essential but it is useful. Most of the tracks are firetrack, rideable on 8's, but silky-smooth on 9s - there's some tight and twisty DH MTB tracks, a lot are too rutted/tight-cornered to be much fun, but a few add some interesting extra bits to the ...

Interesting stuff, it would be great to get more variety into the terrain in the comps. As a side note Rog, if you could get permission to use the footpaths at the top and bottom of the Whinlatter DH track, you would get a nice mixed terrain track, the singletrack at the top is well surfaced and sup...

Llantrisant is worth checking out, nice wide firetrack, which is great for carving on, and there is also some interesting stuff between the trees!

You probably want to make sure you've got powerslides down before you hit it tho, it can get quite fast if you don't carve.:)

hope you dont mind me adding and how do you strap and to what (if other than helmet)? Velcro, you can get it in strips about 50mm wide with super strong adhesive on. Slap a big bit of the hook stuff on either side of your helmet, and either wrap the loop stuff round the torches or fashion a flat pa...
