This sucks, seems likes it's part of a larger trend in mountainboarding. We all need to get out and push the scene!

What's going to happen to all the non-dirt features at otg? Like the kickers, rails and 1/4? I'm sure they'd look good at my local spot...

Also no matter how tight you do up skate trucks, they always seem to give you less of a stable base than channel trucks, which is important if youre hitting something big and are going fast!

Haven't got any knowledge of Simpack...but with Matlab you could do the roots loci stuff with the LTI package and then try and simulate rider control with the neural network control package ;-)

One thing I would recommend is a pair of heelstraps like these http://www.trampaboards.com/heel-strap-with-black-ratchet-black-camlock-p-10273.html to go around the back of your feet and make sure they can't come out of your bindings. Hugely useful, even if you're just starting in my opinion

Woah, I haven't been going to comps for years, but back in the day U18s like Tom K and Renny were trying 7s and all sorts, has the standard really dropped? No new riders coming through?

to angrysurfer : I really enjoy technical discussions but only in a constructive way i.e.with explanation, reference, proof, experience,...as your personal understanding hasn't much value! Let's try to explain it again: Theory : as you said, grip involve 3 phenomenons : -1. adhesion (admonton or co...

I've been reading up on this this evening and everything I've seen has suggested that contact patch is very important to the amount of grip you get from a tyre, be it a road tyre or a racing tyre. Tyres grip the road through a combination of factors including adhesion, momentary molecular bonding, a...

Coulomb's law should not be applied to tyres. It is not 99% accurate for car or mtb wheels.

Never seen a centre with brake boards. Cattle is generally a bad idea because they make the ground to bumpy. Usually one of the first things a centre has to do is to get a roller in to really smooth out the ground!

IMO all tyres are pretty much the same, Ive never noticed any real difference in tyre grip or speed between any set of tyres that my friends or I have owned. Apart from Alphas, which we found to be utterly gripless!

The only problem I have with Trampa vertigos is that they are shorter than the Matrix pros, so you have less deck ground clearance, and bottom out a bit more.
