Sunday riding is up for suggestions. I'll be camping at Erwlon, Llandovery on Fri & Sat night & in the pub...

Yes I'd like at the very minimum for the results to be entered and DH event recognised on the ATBA-UK site. All the riders deserve recognition for travelling to, paying and entering the event, just like any other ATBA-UK event. I'm sure the competitors thought it would be a listed recognised ATBA-UK...

My gripe is with the ATBA-UK, not you Roger.

So, can a ATBA-UK committee member answer my original question:

Why has Dave not been recognised/listed as an event on your ATBA-UK SITE?

Gripe @ ATBA-UK

I've just received the ATBA-UK news letter which gives the overall placings/rankings of the UK comps .. nice, thanks for the update......

.....However, I note that the Dave Downhill (held this Summer) has not been listed/recognised.

WHY IS THIS?

Slightly better, only because the brake lever is longer, thus giving more leverage.

They still need beefing up, see earlier (6 months or so ago) post on this.

Roger, I thought you were away riding Helvellyn and Scotland .... on your 9''s

Best to have both sets of wheels to add to your quiver

9'' Primo Strykers at 50psi are likely to do the job for you .... if you need the roll factor to maintain the speed, Jasper is right about acceleration and grip. Once rolling the 9s are generally faster and best used for long fast downhills, JC is proof of this, but if it's short (e.g. boardercross)...

As long as if not longer than Dave (appx est 1.5 miles), estimated decent from start to finish is appx 750ft. This equates to an averag e of 10.5% gradient , for comparison, Dave is approximately an average of 7% gradient The track surface is a hard compact rock = very fast in all wet/dry conditions...

Thanks for the posting, you've just given me an idea for the World Alternative Games at Llanwrtyd Wells next summer.

How about a comp for the longest distance jumped off a ramp by being pulled by a Horse?
