For Sale: Vintage MBS Reactor

Posted this here a few years ago I believe, and changed my mind on selling it, so I used it a bit more, but the time has come and I could use the money now so I'm finally letting it go So yea, up for grabs is my old MBS Reactor. It's in pretty good shape for its age(I think it was made in/around 200...

Nodrog, my camera stayed on, but for some reason the last 10 seconds of the video was a frozen shot with white noise. I re-did my mount a little bit. I took some foam off which made the camera slightly looser so it flexes a little, but it's still on tight. I just got done cutting a new trail in the ...

So I took it out for a test run. The mount worked good but because of how stiff and tight the camera was on that bolt, the video was very blurry/shaky and for some reason, after going down the hill, the camera kept rolling but the video stopped and all I got was white noise. This is my only camera s...

I found some of this weird plastic/wood/wtf stuff behind the shed and cut a 14x2 piece off of it. I drilled a few holes, put some foam where the camera sits, and bolted it on using the holes for the ergo-bar. I couldn't use the clamp design like you did because of my frame but I think this way seems...

I've got some nice trails over here in Stroudsburg, PA. We've got a few acres of trails right behind the house, all wooded, and a few jumps here and there. There's also this insane place about 15 minutes from me called "The Maze". I've never seen a mountainboarder there but I'm sure it can be done. ...

Well I found a screw that fits, it's a little short at about 3/4" long, it only goes in ~1/4" so there's still 1/2" to work with. I might have some carbon fiber strips I can use (if I still have them) or maybe I can use some thick lexan. I'll be able to make it work, I'll post pics when I finish ;)

It's a good enough pic to see what you did. I'll probably end up doing the same thing, but with the camera on the right. I don't have any old skis so I'll see what else I can use. I'll figure it out this weekend when I come home...

Awesome, I'll dig around in the garage and see if I can find any screws. Found your pic by the way, might try something like it. I like how it clamps onto the board without having to make any other holes in the board... http://surfingdirt.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=164&pictureid=1940

Camera mount?

Anybody know any ways to mount a camera to their board to get some good video? I have a Kodak camera with the standard tripod screw-hole mount.

Thanks

Sorry to bump this old thread, but what size springs did you get? I should be getting some MBS springs in the mail soon, but maybe I'll see if Ace has others I can keep for backups...

Thanks McCarver.

And yea, for everyone else here, if you haven't noticed my for sale post, I have decided to keep the Reactor and get some new springs for it.

EvilC: You're right, I don't have any insane hills around here so I don't really think I need breaks anyway ;)

Yea definitely. The frame on this thing is what makes me want to keep it. No other board is as hefty as this one ;)

Hey guys, I have decided not to sell this board pretty much because I'm not going to find another one like it in a while and it's probably the best board for my size right now, haha. Anyhow, thanks for the interest. I may put it back up for sale some other time but right now I feel like riding it......

I thought the atom's were a little small, too. I'm not 100% sure yet if I'm actually gonna get one or not, just thought I'd throw some ideas out there and see what you guys thought of them. And yea, I agree with you about the breaks, I don't see them working too well (with just one pad on each wheel...

Big and Tall(and some other questions)...

So here's the deal... I'm about 6'4", 250lbs, and I'm looking for a board. I'm on a budget, too. Do you think the MBS Atom 95x would work for me? http://www.dirtboarding.org/mbs-atom-95x/ Also, I have my MBS Reactor for sale, which is pretty beefy with the frame and all. I think I actually might end...
