On longer tips the trucks are placed further up the tips, this decreases the height of the deck off the floor (increasing stability) and also increases the wheelbase of the board (increasing stability), but it also increases spinweight (making it slightly harder to do spins) and it decreases leverag...

I think it's amazing to see a new company delving into mountain boarding, huge kudos for them! Price may be a bit steep but it's great to see some high end gear, but more importantly products made in the UK. As Ben said, if they had rims for brake pads they would be a lot more appealing. A pair of t...

Got the job in Kitzbühel! Lot's of riding to be done, hopefully I'll be riding with Mr TJ in Slovenia before then and I might pop over to Serbia for the XC, should be a good summer. Off to Albania on Monday so I haven't invested any money and materials into board building, but I have been VERY busy ...

nice! looks very smooth and slick but 'does it bounce?' not literally, i mean how would trucks like these cope with hard impact from 2 meters with 70kg load....? Better than conventional channel trucks, the load will spread throughout the board much better through 8 pivots, compared to 2 king pins....

Awesome! I've spent all of my freetime over the last week playing around with your design and it appears to be a whole lot better than conventional "mountainboard trucks". I would consider these the first "real mountainboard" trucks, completely separate from borrowed skate and channel truck (king pi...

Yeah, mountainboards aren't really built for speed, I'd say the main restriction is bindings, you can't get a decent speed tuck with fixed feet. On you're average run you won't get much over 20-25 mph without tucking. As I said, mountainboarding isn't really about going very fast, you can't really t...

The fastest I have gone is 35-40 mph (on road), but legend has it that Pete Tatham got to over 55 mph. (I'm pretty sure I heard that on here somewhere). Off-road I find that 30 mph can be a comfortable speed but anything higher and those rocks and roots seem a whole lot bigger.

You can get puncture proof solid mobility scooter tyres that fit mountain boards but they're expensive and I have no idea what "psi" they are set at. Think it would be much better to get some hard compound Trampa tread tyres and line them with kevlar fabric (between the inner tube and tyre).

Had an awesome time riding for the first time in almost 3 months! Put my board together, pumped up the tires and headed to the fastest smoothest firetrack around! Started by practising me heelside hairpins, really got to get an understanding of grip, it was easy to lose traction with the hard tires ...

Hello! Got back this week and had my exam yesterday! It's being raining heavily so riding hasn't been an option anyway. I'm going to do some downhill on my nompa tomorrow if the weather clears then fit the trucks to the new deck when I get back (hopefully my stoke levels with be optimum after riding...
