Maybe he had the old T1s that felt like chewing gum, they're really soft and get eaten up by tarmac and gravel.

I think it's the alphas ... Try some T3s, MAKs or tramps softs. Slides are fun, it's a whole lot easier keeping a slide straight on dirt than grass. I think the only decent way to get a straightish slide on grass is to pendulum.

Yup, ABEC rating have no use. As Sir Seymour pointed out, the side loads are way more important, make sure you have decent bearing spacers and speed rings. The bearings used are not built for vibrations and side loads so you have to use spaces to allow the forces to be transferred to the wheels/truc...

Wouldn't you need smaller arms for PU wheels? Otherwise the deck will hit the ground and you'll die.

I would just get some Burton ratchets for free. Send them an email explaining how you lost them when spreading the stoke in some deep pow.

HUZZAH! I'd love to build a deck based around your designs, should be good fun. Plus, I've never (and I guess most UK riders) have never seen a flexboard in the flesh.

Take them apart and have a look at the bushings, if they don't look even I would buy some new ones, not sure if longboard bushings fit, but if they do get some venoms, riptides or something. If they don't look too bad try swapping them around as you said.

You can have a piece of fiberglass a mile thick if you wanted, it just depends on the weight of the cloth. Fiberglass typically comes sturdier and thicker than kevlar (around 100-1000 g/m^2 compared to 40-200 g/m^2 that you get with Kevlar). 90% of the time kevlar is only used to provide abrasion re...

They use Twintex, which is E-glass in a polypropylene matrix. DOn't know what you mean about the depth? And fiberglass is stiffer than Kevlar and Diolen.
