Being a sparky i'll let you know a few things, you'll get instance power and tourque from an electric motor really is twist n go. If you get the right motor you'll also get faster acceleration. A thin deck will just bottom out or snap go for a decent one that will be strong thick but light(ish) save your weight elsewhere. I take the doughnuts outta my pockets before i ride this saves weight and doughnuts!

Which centre do you ride at, if it's my local i'll quite happily advise you face to face (can be easier sometimes) Also if your hiring boards she proberly has a board that she tends to gravitate towards when given the choice. But yer listen to Roger and the ATBshop

The springs don't really do that much it's the dampers that do all the work, i know a few guys who ride without them (with the help of conversion kits) they are all top class boarders. the lad who makes the kits stopped doing them a while ago but is thinking of starting them again due to new intrest
