9.5 for skate trucks and 12 for channel trucks is pretty much standard isn't it? Even Nosno trucks are 12mm.

I have seen a couple of small balancers for 1/4 scale RC cars or for go-kart wheels on ebay, Would that sort of thing work?

No worries bud. The only PU wheels I know are ground industries bazookas but GI went out of business a while ago. Might be some used ones for sale but they are rare.

I don't think that's the problem as I feel I can go over most of the terrain around beyond big rocks and trees, but the slope never seems right. Either it's too flat and I quickly lose momentum or it's just too steep to do safely. I imagine being in a city makes this a lot harder. I'll be visiting ...

I find no sno a little harder to ride than my mbs. It turns harder and faster but is very unforgiving. Mistakes that you can get away with on a spring truck board can have you face down sliding in the dirt on a no sno. At least thsts how it is for me.

Awesome, Knockhill is looking really good, love them new toys. All you need to do to make it perfect is pick it up and put it in Scotland, preferably near my house.

Tracks are a way to increase the footprint of a vehicle to spread it's weight preventing it from sinking. Traction is better if the tracks are driven but not if they aren't.

Try Interparcel on the web Dave, they will quote you for several companies and options, might be a cheaper one in there.

Yes anyone can mountainboard, as long as you have both legs and can walk and balance upright. There are beginner boards but don't bother with them buy the best you feel you can afford. The good quality boards are very tough and will last you well, a good condition second hand one will be fine, ebay ...

My understanding of the dynamics of riding appear to be very different to yours. Please go ahead with your weight control idea and let us see what you come up with. If you make it work I will publicly salute your genius and eat any humble pie required and you have that in writing.
