Let me know if any of you are going or have trouble finding the place. I live 5 minutes from the park. It would be good to meet some other riders at last and I'd be happy to show you how to get there.

The Scottish Mountainboard Centre

The Scottish Mountainboard Centre, Glendevon, Dollar, Temp, FK14 7JY

I saw this place searching for local ride spots, anyone know anything about it? I haven't found any other information searching the web.

This is from Google Maps near the post code, no idea how old the image is though:

Lochore Meadows, Fife, Scotland

This place was once a coal mine. Luckily for me Margaret Thatcher closed it down, sacked all the miners and turned it into a country park, she was even good enough to build a bike park and some excellent free ride terrain. It can get busy in the main park area at the weekends because there's loads o...

Yep, dead easy to build. A set of cable Mountainbike calipers, 2 x pipe clamp to fit no sno hanger, 2 x 15x15x100 angle, set of Mountainbike rotors sized to fit your wheel, a set of standoffs to bring the rotor out from the hub and a long gyro cable. The dimensions may be slightly different dependin...

Hi Matt. You don't want to buy too basic a board to start and being a big lad you will need something that will be able to take the strain without bottoming out but still maintain a degree of flex/pop. Go for something mid to pro range with decent channel trucks like MBS Comp or Pro range or Trampa ...

SDS Mountainboard: http://www.sdsskateboards.com/images/mountain/top.jpg http://www.sdsskateboards.com/images/mountain/bottom.jpg Our past mountain board was received fairly well by everyone. Still, we felt we needed to step up our off-road game so we introduce our newly revised SDS Mountain Board. ...

If either of you guys could make a powered board either gas or electric power which is a viable, robust and reliable form of transport in all weather at a reasonable price you could have a good product.

I like the idea from the double redundancy point of view. The brake pad came off my V5 brakes while I was riding a very steep gnarly trail last year. With this setup it would have been less likely to happen and if it did you would still have the other set of brakes to control the speed. Definite imp...
