Well that was fun! We clocked up 12km of riding thru 1140m descent in 26hours, including 2 night rides, and we found an awesome new run 'The pendulum' with 6 switchback corners.....:D

I have to disagree with Ade about the 661 dj knees, I had a set that would not stay in place when I fell on them. I have since sacrificed the hardshell, and started using661 Kyle straight knees, they stay in place much better.

You can get the alphas in a 4 ply version, they are ideal for Freeride, you get a lot less punctures. It's also worth checking out Trampas tyres, last time I looked they did a harder compound tyre.

I haven't been out nite riding for about 3 weeks, we hit Coopers Hill last nite for some woodland Freeride, it was awesome. Loads of debris all over the runs. Was in the zone from the second I started moving on the board, avoiding fallen branches, smashing thru 'babyhead' rocks, and riding the banks...
