Nice find! Have you done an elevation profile on google earth to check for flat spots??

I usually reckon on average 70m descent in a 1km being a ridable gradient, so approximately 400m in 4700m should run nicely;-)

Anyone fancy a day of downhilling??

So i got the missus drunk last night, and took advantage of her......

Which means that I have manged to secure a very rare 'full day boarding' pass for Sunday 1st July;-)

Anyone fancy going big and trying to find some long runs, thinking maybe Wales, but open to suggestions?

Ive owned a garmnin etrex in the past - never let me down, great for recording your track, and distance travelled - as well as useful info like altitude, sunset/sunrise etc. However IMHO if your going into remote areas you should not be reliant on the GPS for navigation, it should really only be use...
