Mountainboard Information and Manufacturing process

Received a comment today on the blog from a Mr Matt Davison: "Hey Ade. I stumbled along your blog a few days back and I was wondering if you could help me? I'm doing a project on mountainboards and need to research the manufacturing process. I was just wondering if you had any links or info you coul...

Roger - I used that exact pump for a couple of years until one of the seals went. Hard work if blowing up a tire from deflated - easily over a hundred compressions needed, but very easy to increase a tyre by 10psi or deflate using the bleed valve. Good, all metal housing and gauge, small and the fle...

Gents, I assume that no news is no news on this?
I now cannot make something this weekend due to unforeseen circumstances.
Have a good session if you do go, or hope to see you at a later session perhaps.

Nothing from Santa this year board related, though I did get back a load of gear that I'd lent to someone earlier in the year and forgotten about, so in a way it's new :D

I've probably mentioned this before, but have you ridden with NEAT?

Cheb and Andy from there run regular sessions and certainly know how to boardslide.

Later in January might be easier but I'm happy to go with the flow. Only weekend I can't do is Jan 12/13th. Are you going to set up a FB event page, Chris?

Absolutely awesome on the proviso that you have the right roads available. The roads on all the American videos are car-free and butter-smooth and under those conditions it is a great experience. Most of the roads round here give me so much jitter that fine control is tricky. Right conditions and lo...

The base of the deck says 'Spartek'. I bought it complete in 2001 for 40 English Pounds.

Which bindings are you using, Nick? I used to wear my largish size 10.5 Mendal walking boots with the larger size Rage bindings without any problems. The bindings are a bit on the large size if only wearing trainers, which makes me suspect you are using noSno softs?

With full finger you get the rear splint and the full fingers and the option to take out the rear splint and chop off the fingers.
You can't add full fingers or a rear splint to half gloves.

I wanted to name one of my sons 'Travis' after Travis Pastrana but my wife vetoed all of my choices named after motorbike riders or stunt men. So this ruled out my other choices of Spanky, Randy or Evil :(

Excellent - I was thinking the other day that a nice trip to Llangollen sometime would be nice. Now, there's even more reason to go.

Ahh, the Macclesfield sessions. We should start to think about a suitable day in the coldest, darkest weekend in December/January soon.

Questions. What kind of tracks would you guys like to do for DH comps (and not just UK riders, I'm interested in what everyone thinks)? Variable track surfaces - gutted I couldn't make Scotland this year as the wooded sections looked ace. The European DH-ers are lucky with their ski slopes but I st...
