I've known riders that have broken their forearm, because they were wearing a wrist guard. I've broken my leg just below the knee, because I was wearing a rigid knee brace. Protective equipment might protect a certain area, but when tramua occurs, our bodies find the weakest point, and with enough ...

If as you say, you're keen to learn jumps and grabs, I'd say go for the Comp 95 (between the two choices). Lighter overall setup and you save £30. You can always buy bigger wheels or a brake later on. Personally, i'd invest the saved money on a pair of heel straps (or make your own). On the subject ...

Who'd have thought that I like to wobble my hands around so much when I ride! Nothing like watching yourself to see what you're doing wrong.

Plus I dont think that I've ever had to pay p&p through them. Think I paid ~£20 for a pair of 661 knee pads. Very happy with quality.

Downhill Championship

The all-new ATBA-UK Downhill Championship will take place on the 12th and 13th of June 2010 in Cheddar, Somerset. This exciting new discipline involves riders giving it their all to get their best time down a track that will push all their skills to the limit.

you do have to be an ATBA Member and that can take about 4 weeks to come through and it'l be getting busy now so i'd do that and get that sent off asap. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think that you need to be a ATBA member to compete, just that you save money if you are. Not that there's any ...

Reasons why one board just isn't enough!

I think most of us would agree that one board just isn't enough, but its often partners, parents or other people that need the most convincing. Am compiling a list for an article for the blog, so help me out with suggestions and help all those fellow addicts with handy excuses for next time someone ...

It's all cool, and all. And I can see the benefits of lighter boards, but it seems to me that most people seem to forget the most obvious weigh-saving: their body. Is shaving a few grams from your board really going to improve your riding? Maybe, but not as much as losing a few kilos of body fat an...
