Anyone free this weekend and wants to get dragged around by a horse?

The Horse Boarders have been in contact and are doing a demo up North (Lancashire area) this saturday (13/07) and are after a rider to get dragged around and hit a few ramps.

Anyone interested?

That's a comp26x. I have one and loved it until I got my NoSno. It's a downhill/freeride board and is probably one of the heaviest you can find - so def not for freestyle - but it feels great riding over anything. They are good if you can pick them up cheap - the components are all sound and you cou...

I have some first gen trucks and cubes lying around not being used - probably not worth it with the shipping from over here in Blighty though.

Don't worry about drilling that deck - I have one and have drilled it a fair few times for different bindings.

In the Lakes - Whinlatter Forest is still my fav DH spot - loads of runs. Otherwise just close your eyes and stick a pin in a map...you'll probably hit something awesome.

Another tip is to try and find local riders - much easier to pick stuff up off people. I am sure there are a few riders on here who are in your sort of area.

Ouch. Is there anyway to tighten Vector trucks up (more of a question to other riders) - cos they seemed a bit wobbly. I would suggest getting your stance a bit lower - you are going to be be more stable with your knees bent (and also closer to the ground if you do come off). Try riding on a grassy ...

Well - it was pretty ace - not too busy for a bank holiday and took my brother-in-law up to ride last years competition trrack a few times and he loved it. Interestingly, he's only had a little riding experience (messing around on a park - learning to turn and stop brakeless) but with a brakeboard h...

Up in the Lakes this weekend (04/05 May)

Hi - just to let anyone know, I will be riding up in Whinlatter in the Lakes this Saturday or Sunday.

If anyone wants to tag along/get shown around Whinlatter Forest - give me a shout and we can meet up.

They could have at least put a grip on the handle... I do like the idea of the bar to make sure the force is applied directly to the brakes and stops the mounts pushing inwards.

You know the price?

Where abouts in the country are you (presuming UK) - it might be that you are close to a centre or some riders that will let you have a go on theirs before you commit?

Trampa 16 ply with some channel trucks would be my advice. If you can find something like a MBS comp 16 2nd hand online it would suit you as well.
