Depends on what you are riding and the type of board you have as well - I love me my snowboard bindings.

I already have brakes - but I'll definately take a pair if there are some going. I've now sourced everything apart from 1 mising component of my <£40 disk brakes (once I have them working I will post up the shopping list/how to).

TBH - I've heard from a few people that their Trampa ratchets have died. Might be best going with an alternate make.

The hard parts are the mounts and controlling two brakes/callipers with a single brake lever - not too difficult if you are technically minded. If you go hydrolic I think a decent bike shop could throw you the brake system together using cheap parts. Cables are pretty simple if you can merge two cab...

Mark - wasn't Ade selling his spare ABS kit for about £100? I'm not sure if it sold, but I can tell you its a great investment.

I only ever slide if I am on messing around on grass (too lazy/old when you have a brake and normally ride on gravel) - but it is super fun. Give it a go while you are bombing it on wet grass...best check there's nothing in front of you for about 40feet though.

Out of interest - which tyres?

Yep - they are for DH MTB - so loads of visibility and they are nice and light. Check out Chain Reaction Cycles, I think thats where I got mine cheap.

Also, 661 release a new version of their gear every year, so the last years stuff tends to go cheap.

I have a 661 Comp II in size XL. I dont know how big my head is - but I am 6'2 and a bit of a lard-ass and it fits fine. Plus you sometimes get XL 661 stuff cheap cos most of the MTB riders are kind of dweebie. I think I picked up mine for about £35 and wouldn't go back now - espcially after seeing ...

I think I have some old F3's lying around but the ratchets aren't great. They are yours if you think you can use them.

Oh good god I want this - but probably cant afford what its worth right now. Although if you are desperate to get rid of it, I'll offer you a cheeky £200 right now.

What sort of deck is it btw? I have been on the lookout for a 12x790 custom for ages and would be interested if it was one.
