+1 for Trampa tread as well and I find yellow dampa's stiff enough but you can always change them later. Don't forget to join the ATBA UK ( http://www.atbauk.org ) and support the sport in this country (first years membership is free). Plus if you join the ATBA you'll get a Discount from Trampa. Mos...

Check the weight limit on the Holy Pro. For some reason I didn't think it could accommodate our size of rider. If you get a bigger stiffer board you can always chop it later and drill your own holes. That way you can get a cheaper custom version of the Holy Pro at your spec. You can always contact T...

I'm 200lb and I get away with a 35* 15 Ply Trampa short. I don't jump so I've never had it bottom out. A 15/16/17 ply Trampa short or a 16/17 long will be fine. If you get one and find its too flexy/stiff long/short its relatively easy to upgrade and you can sell the old deck on easy enough. You won...

Time for a road trip methinks. After been taught a lesson or two by the South Downs I could have some real fun there.

Yep. When the Pro's are at the top being quiet you know its time for the rest of you to get a tight sphincter. I only do stills but here is some POV action from Remolition. http://www.remolition-news.com/uk-mountainboard-series-results-and-words-mountainboard-scotland This is the original ATBA UK vi...

Michael. I never apologised for accidentally setting the flash off in your face at the top of the "drop". I don't mean to blind you. Made a great photo though.

I've never seen a video do a track such an injustice. A massive learning curve for me. So much respect for those of you who had the skills and the balls to tackle it. Maybe if I practice for four hours every day for the next year I'll be up for it. Even looking through all the photos I can't find on...

ATBA UK Crash of the Weekend.

In the absence of a photos thread I'll post this here. I was a bit of a distance away so its cropped in a bit but after being carried down the hill and a quick trip to A&E to confirm nothing too serious Shane returned to collect his third place in the Masters. Matt Brind then h...

Cheers Sam,

That's the route I intended but I couldn't find an appropriate washer. I've gotten so used to having the bearing tool for the longboard I had to think back to the days of my yoof on what we did then.

90 minutes in the freezer and a good dollop of white lithium grease spray and a bit if occasional force. Closest of tolerances. Some slipped in easy some needed a bit of persuasion.

They're in the freezer now. Wrapped in three sandwich bags and as much air taken out as possible. I couldn't vacuum the air out completely. I'll give it an hour and see how it goes. We have a supper cold freezer. I tried speed cream but its too fine a tolerance they are out. It won't take much to ge...

Whilst we are on the subject of bearings, I have just bought some Trampa red ABEC 5 12mm and some Superstar hubs. The bearings are more than a tight fit into the hub. In the absence of something similar to a Bones Bearing tool for 12mm bearings I have tried the usual skate/long board tricks and even...

20,000 RPM I think their capacity is. On a longboard I believe that equates to about 160mph. Maybe a bit less for a mountain board.
