Yeah that would be a good starter board. Will hold your weight easily and is going to be a good length for you.

Check Craigslist. If you go MBS your going to want to do either a 95 length or a 100 length board. Atom/Colt 95X is a decent trail board. Comes with a brake pre-installed. Your not going to get insane on the board, but it'll break the ice and get you started.

I tried a pole camera mount back when I had a GoPro and I just hated it. Going to head down and talk to the metal shop this weekend and see what they can do for me i think

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of scooters, but this one is a cool change. I like the 3-wheel stance as it allows for it feeling more like a board. The fact you don't need the handlebars also helps. Seems pretty stable also. How fast can you get that thing up to? Unfortunately I've never had a ch...

Camera mount for Board

So I'm currently running a Pro 95 leafe. I'm working on coming up with a way to mount my Contour to my board in a way that I can adjust the view, angle, and what not. I tried a 2 piece arm that I got at a local camera store, but due to rattle in the deck, the screw wiggled loose, and instantly made ...

Damn dude. Fastest I've gone is 42 down Rampart Range here in Colorado Springs. We were doing a video shoot with cars chasing us.
But 50 would just be insane. You're picture shows you using a TK100 Hand. You running that with red eggs in the videos?

I like my roadies on my MBS blade. I find doing more technical/faster trails harder as I find myself prone to powersliding/spinning out on berms versus the better traction on my t3's.
Over all, a bit faster, and hold speed better than t3, survive longer on street, cement, etc, and pretty light.

The Chutes

For any riders from Colorado Springs, I'm sure you've hit High Drive. There's a small bike trail about 2 miles long on the way up to it called the Chutes. It's a downhill dream. Berms as far as the eye can see. With snow on the ground you're running about 18 mph holding.

Matt, Call into MBS and ask for Pat or J, they should be able to give you a basic run down from the beginning. I'm writing a market report for MBS as a part of my project for university. It requires a product timeline but it's proving to be a nightmare hunting them all down. I can get away with only...

I had an older one. Hated the fish eye. required me to be too close to the other guys than was safe for some of the terrain.
I'll look into the new one, see if it's any better.

Best Helmet/board camera

What camera's are people using for filming? I'm doing some road trips this summer with the group, and need to get a camera or 2 to get some good video.
Also anyone have experience with editing video? Looking for suggestions on software and laptop/computer type to get for editing.
Thanks

If your looking for spots in fortcollins hit up Garrett Heard or Thomas Moore. Resident riders up there, but they go to Valmont a bit too.

Same top and bottom graphic. Deck is wider than the previous model of 90's.
Set up does have a few lower end components, but price isn't expected to be outrageous for whats on the board.

Awesome. Thanks. Been trying to get some more information on these things and the reviews alone really do say a lot about what this board should be used for according to riders. Lately I've been doing a lot more down hill bombing (High Drive, Rampart Range Rd in Garden of the Gods, etc) and I've hit...
