Mountainboard Ohio

Post by Jimmy Chaos » Sat Jun 12, 2010 7:26 pm

I've been thinking about taking pics of my riding spot for a while now, bryce was asking for more pics of my Ak and I actually remembered to take my camera with me. I'm going to apologize now for posting so my pics.It was really hard to capture the terrain and most the pics don't due it justice, however I just took pics of the main area not the multiple trails that just head off into the woods.

We're at the cross roads now, head back if you want

It's official, Jimmy has a great rack. :D That just had to be said.

That spot looks awesome, as does your new board! Are you planning to go to any events this year? Kansas or otherwise? I'm thinking I may have to change my surf trip into a mountainboarding trip because my travel companions are flaky as hell and I don't know if they are going to commit to going with me.

McC: The place is like a 1/2 hr away from my apt. mostly highway. There's like 70 acres of wooded hillside the possibilities are endless. I didn't take pics of everything there's also a ravine that's like a 800 ft long that's like a down hill dirt pipe , but i didn't clean that out this year. spring clean up is done. it's time to ride!

Bryce: I'm planning going to Kansas .That's going to be the only big trip this year. besides going to Pa a couple of times.

Folly: Psh! =) the boards look clean on the rack cause I took that pic before the first time i took the new board out and the inline looks clean because i just retired my old one that i've ridden for the last 6 yrs. They're pretty dirty now Haha

Stylezofnz: yeah it's homemade, i probably shuld have taken a couple of pics of it without the boards ,but it looks soooooo pretty with them on there!

Well I'm the only one that maintains ,builds and rides there so If I want wood kickers Psh! I'm putting in wood kickers =) and It's a lot easier than moving a shit load of dirt with an old cooler haha!

Yeah I got a few new things but the big news is that I have a new location to build at!! At a new friends property--lots of acres with plenty of downhill. Plus I can use any materials I want to there--unlike in the state forest where I normally ride.
Right now I am working on a big wood berm wall that will be vert on the end. It will take some time because we are using big pallets that trike motorcycles come on. My friend works at a motorcycle dealer and is bringing them home as they get them.
eventually I will have a serious playground out there!!!

wooden berms are the way foward, a hell of a lot less effort for those without diggers. i'm stock piling palletes for my second one at the moment that like yours will probley have to go to vert to keep you in.

Awesome berm Belac! Yeah I was going to get them to do it Sun. It's Fathers day in the US and it would be easy to guilt them into spending the day with me but I'm going to be 6 hrs. away that day.
