High Ground Terrain Park, NC

Post by DirtBlogger » Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:55 pm

Thanks to Ground Industries, Hillbilly Dirtgear, Beech Mountain Resort in North Carolina and riders like you, our brothers-in-dirt on the East Coast(US) now have a new playground to hone in their skills as well as new venue to host events and competitions.

When all is said and done more than 80 loads of dirt will have been hauled up the hill using quad-axle dumptrucks in order to complete this mountainboarders paradise. Park features are said to include a large true table, bridge with two downrails, medium hip/berm combo, small c-wall , large straight-walled 25ft wall ride, large slight step-up, and three other features.

The park is coming along nicely according to our sources but are holding out on releasing more photos until the track is completely finished.

The Grand Opening is scheduled for the last weekend of june, so start making your arrangements to be there. This reporter suggest that even if you cant make the grand opening to mark your calendars today and make plans to show up for the official event sponsored by Ground Industries on September 5th and 6th, more details to come.

Reminds me of a scaled down version of the Redbull dreamcourse posted HERE, way stoked to see something besides the standard boardercross/bigair format being created specifically with muontainboarding in mind on this side of the pond.
