"The title of the novel refers to a scientist, Victor Frankenstein, who learns how to create life and creates a being in the likeness of man, but larger than average and more powerful." wikepedia.
i think the the practise of frankenboarding must refer to the practise of mutilation and butchery that rebirths your boardparts anew as a hideous yet awesome monster of gnar. something that might utterly horrify the cool kids at the mounainboard comp and cause angry mobs to storm your tent with pithforks and flaming torches. a frankenboard has lost the beauty, but mastered the function. has been genetically enhanced and taken a few to many roids:p
i've posted this one elsewhere on here before, but i think it suits the idea of board butchery quite wel, so here it is again. original idea from casey, one of the denver riders on here who likes to get creative in the lab, cheers:cool:
normal GI conflict, just moved the trucks back a hole length and redrilled them nearer to the feet, and choped off the reultsant kicktails. completly changes the whole ride of the deck, very stiff, more spinny and easy to oli, easy to manual, much more ground clerence and absoloutly no bottoming out. both versions are sexy in their own respect, the regular conflict is awesome for speed, carving and genral freeride, and the monster is pure sex for jibbing on my back garden course. if i could change anything it would be to flip the bionics round to get it back a little closer to the ground, but that would make it lame for the grindboxes i have.
i like to see some of jimmys creations in this gallery of bodgit boards;)
