Brakes
I thought many people would be interested to know that you can get the magura hs11 brakes which were used for the ABS systems now from chain reaction cycles at the princely sum of 52.99 per brake just have to sort out mounts then (Y)

if i had a look at it i might. to be 100 percent honest i just copied nicks idea and followed it to the T as i knew it was tried and tested.
i could definately make pretty much anything... but so can any one else if you know the right people or just pay a professional the real skill is in designing something that will work well and tolerate the abuse.
got anything in mind?

Yeah - disk brake callipers seem to have a standard bolt pattern to attach to the bike frame; if we can make a mount to match that (basically the same as NoSno), then I think we could use any disk brakes we can pick up cheap off eBay etc.
Then its a matter of getting the rotors sorted - but I have been thinking about that as well and might have a solution.

could you make that a bit more visual please....never really looked at disk brakes in much details

Here are a couple of disk brakes - notice all the callipers seem to have the same mounting patterns:

The NoSno brake mounts are designed to match that mount pattern (check out the pic in the catalogue):

Brakes
Hi guys
I have been getting quite a few email requests for brakes. When I sold the Alpine brakes concern to the Swiss gentleman I assumed he would be taking it forward sadly this does not appear to be the case. If I can get some HS 11's at the right price I am considering making a batch of brakes. If you want brakes get in touch and if there is a reasonable demand I may well be tooling up in the near future.

Disc brake mounts
Here are some pics of the disc set up I built before I went down the magura route. It was a good job I had an aerospace engineer helping me.

Its out there somewhere as I sold it to Kev Kimber [remember him?] it was very effective but would scrub out the pads very quickly

I was wondering who made them, did you try nosno disks on them, maybe the solid disk was wearing them out. I think Chris (6thdegree) said he found similar disks for mini motos or something too.
