relatively light, cause of the kite deck...other wise, two trispokes, brakes you know roughly.

to be honest its all really just an excuse for using regular bindings as i dont really like the rage and cant afford softs new and no one is selling second hand...

I've gone back to normal bindings after using softs and snowboard bindings. I love my Scrub velcro and Trampa heels, they just work, don't see myself ever changing again.

I remember them being pretty darn good for downhill but I find my current set-up to be more convenient and lighter, so long as you wear rigid boots you don't lose any control. I might try my snowboard bindings again soon, but I have no complaints about my Scrub velcros in the mean time.

not yet, ill post up when i do. anything your interested in particularly? so far all i can say is the bindings feel 10X better than the rage (which i already new) BUT with the added width of the foot placement on the kite deck i get quite a lot of leverage too. to be honest i cant imagine it having any fault at all except the fact that set up as they are at the moment both my feel point outwards at about 15 degrees i think thats called duck stance.

so far bindings have one big plus which is the comfort and leverage (cause of the wide foot placement on the kite deck giving loads of leverage) and issue which is as i have it set up now, you have to be riding duck footed :S sure i can sort out something though.

Was just wondering how it handled. you should be able to adjust the stance to avoid the duck foot by drilling an extra hole in the deck to fit each binding post.

yeah, only on the inner side though....not on the outer. which might mean my foot is placed in a less appropriate place in order to get max leverage, will look into this a bit more over the week end or when i get a free second. by bindings post i assume you mean L bracket...?

It made me think you could do this the other way round too, and make a longer L bracket with three holes to take the straps from snowboard bindings without the weight of the footbed, and then that you could make long L brackets with two holes on the horizontal to fit MBS decks and so create a new and lightweight way of adding snowboard-type bindings to MBS and Trampa boards.

I've been thinking about doing that, I've found some really nice snowboard straps that you can buy without the highback and footplate, I'll try and find the link. I have metal L plates I can use but making some out of basalt would be cooler, like these CF ones made by X-Shape. I've got some perspex as well, I could heat bend it, this will also heat treat the surface so I can laminate it with basalt to strengthen it a bit. Cheaper, lighter, and just as strong as the CF ones.

I'm thinking of using mountain board heelstraps, so like nosno softs but a lot lighter. These were the ones I'm thinking of, a bit pricey but they look good.

hmm interesting, so i could just take apart my rage bindings and use the straps and use heel straps on the back....basically make the elongated L braket myself......highly intriguing

Yep, thats the kind of thing, just obviously made to fit the MBS binding bolt pattern.
