A creation built for my needs.. Nompa consisting of Nosno Alloy trucks, soft bushings and a 17 ply Trampa 35 Long drilled to fit.. bear in mind this is sorta my v0.1, improvements and testing still to come!
Big thanks to Brennig & Roger for their help
Any questions, feel free to ask! Tried to build a DH/Boardercross Hybrid beast

Take way more abuse, MBS Trucks bend fucking piss easy, I know first hand.. also heavier so the acceration and keeping momentum over rough ground is better.

I'm not convinced that nosno trucks are stronger channels. At round 1 I saw two nosno trucks (both the composite and normal ones) bend and snap while my scrub 'MBS rip off' trucks were fine.
Here is a picture I found on remolition

Yes, I was also at that round, when Nosno trucks break, you will definitely notice, but I bent a matrix pro that round and so did Brind, from what I can remember. You just don't notice until after a comp.. anyway I bet a Nompa could outlive an MBS and even myself..

must admit i thought the same as you dale but although the nosno axle itself didnt break i have bent one of the two king pins on my nosno which ive owned for under two years and generally dont ride that much. where as my standard matrix trucks lasted perfectly for 3 or 4 years then i did the 'pro conversion' converting the plastic to metal and its been even nicer to ride for 1 or 2 years since then.
from what ive heard, its the matrix pro that are the prblem not the standard one.

Fair enough, didn't know you and Brind broke trucks too. Should probably get my facts straight before posting haha. Seems like round one was a real truck killer! Not surprising when you think about the track I guess!

Sorry guys I'm a newb to the Nompa concept. What's the main benefit over a No-sno?

I think there are three main benefits of a Nompa over a noSno; weight, deck characteristics, and personalisation.
- A Nompa doesn't use the noSno baseplate so you are removing a big chunk of metal from either end of your board.
- A Nompa uses a Trampa deck which you can customise by weight, width, shape, torsional flex, stiffness, and length. noSno decks have a bit of customisation, but nowhere near as much as a Trampa deck.
- You can design your Nompa exactly how you want it. Mine is made with a super-short 15* kite deck and has really tight trucks with almost no steering which makes it really agile, but you can make a Nompa for your type of riding (except maybe freestyle) and make it unique to you, using whatever bindings, deck characteristics, wheels, brakes, etc. you want.

At the end of the day, how's it ride? You happy? Does it suit you? If the answer to the last 2 questions is yes then be very pleased with your self.
And please answer the 1st question. Cheers,

No offense intended, but acceleration on Earth is 32 ft/sec^2 regardless of mass.

Chuck norris doesn't mountainboard, but if he did he'd ride a nompa because they don't worry about the laws of physics.

LOL
Are you suggesting the scenes in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are just special effects?

Haha, like I said it's only in a test stage really atm. First session on cleeve revealed its return to centre isn't perfect.. but it turns great and grips so bloody much! Feels faster than my MBS Comp 95, way nicer landing from jumps too.
Going to redo the bushing seats to have less slop and go again very soon
