Trampa/MBS Binding Problem

Post by Daleyg3 » Tue Jan 28, 2014 3:49 am

Ello guys, I'll cut straight to the chase, I broke an MBS F4 Footstrap the other week and bought 2x Trampa footstraps and bolts to replace it.

The Trampa strap appears to fit nicely with the MBS F4 Ratchet and ladder but when my foot was in it last night, once fastened, was near impossible to undo..

What do you think the issue is? Are the trampa ladders at a slightly different angle? or would a Trampa ratchet fix it?

Cheers in advance.

It could be that the teeth on the ladder are just a bit too tall. You could try sanding down the top of them just slightly. Had to do that when I was using snowboard ratchets on F3 bindings.

It's still an MBS Ratchet on MBS ladders though? I may give that a try though..

Sometimes the ladders to come a bit too tall. I had that issue on a new set of ladder straps, fixed itself after a couple rides. Or you may have pushed the ratchet down too far and jammed it. That can be a complete pain in the ass to undo. Had a couple kids do that to a Comp 95 up at a demo, took me about 30 minutes to get that back into working order.

Solved.. Trampa Footstraps are NOT compatible with MBS Ratchets. I'm gonna need to redrill the footstrap to properly attach the ratchet. It works in this position..
