Is a set of DIY brakes possible on a nosno board?

Yup - have a search on here and there are some home-made mounts for alloy axles.myou can then get some mini moto rotors and calliper brakes or hydrolics. You'd prob need a cable splitter to make it operate with 1 hand. Been meaning to do it for a couple or years but not got round to it....

Yep, dead easy to build. A set of cable Mountainbike calipers, 2 x pipe clamp to fit no sno hanger, 2 x 15x15x100 angle, set of Mountainbike rotors sized to fit your wheel, a set of standoffs to bring the rotor out from the hub and a long gyro cable. The dimensions may be slightly different depending on your rotor size, caliper type etc, adjust to suit what you have.
Slap it altogether as shown in the attachment and Robert is your mothers brother!
