Finally got back on my board today. i Headed over to ride the hill for the first time and it was great! i'd ridden around on slopes near me on the golf course and abit in the wood, but nothing like this. i fell over a couple of times at the start, but i regained my skill by the end. i tried all the hills except the ridiculous boarder cross track that looked scary. i had allot more trouble stopping than i had before, when i tried to power slide i just couldn't get my wheels to slide. still had a great time bombing the slopes and i'm going to be sore tomorrow. definitely going back there when i can.
first session in the new autumnal season. weather finally bearable enough to not have to wake up super early and finish by 10 :P
you know how you always drive past places and make mental notes to come back and check them out, cause you see potential or something caught your eye. well today i decided to clear the 'list'. warmed up at the local skatepark and headed out. as ever a few dead spot but i hit on one really cool street spot with a double stair set of 6 each followed by a flat area at the end of which there is a 10 stair and then a 400meter straight downhill a dead end road with parking on either side making it very wide and amazing for just carving back and forth on and having to slam the brakes on with a huge powerslide (probably wrecking my tires) at the end.
finished off the morning session at about noon at a regular spot (dirt) of mine.
simply sublime!

Finally kicked some ass on my board this past weekend. Spent about 3 hours at the local skatepark (Ben Lomond) Sunday, and another 3 hours at Calabazas BMX park yesterday. Feeling pretty sore and scraped up my back a bit. Planning on riding about twice a week from now on, to help get ready for September's Return to Kansas event!
More kick ass riding
I got to do a cub scout demo yesterday. The cubs got to learn to skateboard, and watch the mountainboard bowl demo. Fun was had by all

Got the chance to ride with mason Moore at the uofu campus. It was awesome lots different lines to ride places where it had jumps drops and places to jib and stall. I'm super out of shape but it was great. Mason is real down to earth mellow easy to talk to, just an all around chill guy. Last night's ride reinforce the fact that mountain borders the greatest group of guys on the earth. Doesn't matter if your pro freestyle in your prime or an out shape fatty like me. Every one is welcome.
"from now on the only one im pimpin is sweet lady propane and im trick n her out all over this town" hank hill
McCarver wrote:I did, I feel like I really pushed myself today, no new tricks but definately stepped it up in the balls department. Nailed the wall ride(atleast in my mind) and picked some really good lines. I give most of the credit to my new RockStar Pro hubs which are much lighter than my old Tri-spokes that I have been sporting for years, but the fact that Im back to riding with a helmet has really improved my confidence.
So yeah, I effin ruled it today! If you did as well please tell us about it, in the meantime I'll be prepping up my stoke gland for milking.
Thanks your post.
