I'm replacing my ratchet buckle with Burton ones, what ones are the right size, toe or ankle buckles?

They do let you turn your feet but you don't want them. They're expensive, they're heavy.
The old ones with freeflex bindings had a nice shape, but I find the newer ones are too wide.

Crap, I tell you!

I use F34s. F4 rachet+binding because obviously the F4 binding is the best, with an F3 ladder strap because the F4 ladder sucks hard arse. Plus metal brackets from F3s because they didn't come with F4s standard.

heel straps are for posers
f3s are the best binding in the world
unless you got little girl feet and need that big old band aid to hold you to your board

no, it depends on how your feet locked in. i can ride easily without heelstraps, and sometimes i do. i just prefer riding with tight bindings and heelstraps on because i dont wanna kick my feet out and i feel more controlled

Well put me in the "poser column", I love my heal straps, like the guys above me ..... I can ride without them but why would I; besides, doing one footers and plants aren't on my to do list. Heals make me feel all comfy and secure hit'n my trails and for the bit of freeride that I do.

Jasper wrote:yeah, i really want a new board now though, :/ mine just feels too heavy and lumborouse its a scrub quasar 2 and im not sure what id move to, i like it all, but the decks not got very much pop and its too heavy, any hints on changing that? the other thing is looking at the shiny MBS boards its a big leap between skate trucks and channels/matrix yet my scrub channels seem perfectly good, WHAT DO I DO? hmm maybe i should start a new thread for this..

i know im a bit late, but i would get new trucks instead of a new deck first. scrub channels are stupidly heavy compared to mbs or trampa ones and my friend has that board. the deck isnt even that heavy. ide go for mbs pro vectors or simular. i have a comp 16 (06) with matrix trucks, it weight about 6.7 and its perfect. light enough for freestyle and jib but just heavy enough for downhill. and with a nice amount of flex :D
