Hard thin wheels for skatepark riding.
A cross-country mountainboard which is comfortable when being pulled behind a horse for 5 miles.
Independent wheels that don't need an axle to join them.
Asymmetric deck designs e.g. bindings not set central with more length to the rear of the deck for greater stability at speed.
Three-wheeled freeride boards that are very light and agile.
A flat deck with channel trucks that have adjustable turning radius so the turn isn't limited by the shape of the deck.
