berms- pallets or dirt?

Post by Erich » Tue Mar 11, 2014 6:03 pm

I'm experimenting with a couple of ways to set up a berm on a trail I'm building. I am going to get a couple more pallets. I could use some advice on angle and how to secure them. Because the turn is tight would I be better off just using dirt?

I recomend both. From my experience tight wood berms are easy just to ride over the top (but brilliant if just a mellow angle) and a bit to fast. Where as with dirt you need heaps to get the hight and angle, also takes a long time for them to settle in if youve only got mulch to build with.
If you build a frame from pallets, logs, stones etc, and then just support and cover. Avwala!

I've got plenty of good dirt. Just a matter of moving in around. Thanks for the pictures.
