mbs quality

Post by daxmatt » Sat May 24, 2014 12:39 pm

Hi guys i'm all new to mountain boards and have gone out and got myself and my daughter a board each admitedly second hand but advertised as used once and the daughters has turned up and it is in very good condition and it obviously not done much but the quality that I'm used to on the longboards that would be the same money as the mountain boards is a huge difference they are quite poor in relation to longboards is this just how they are ? Also are they prone to splitting as the board for my daughter (atom 85) is split on both ends were the truck bolts up I'm currently taking to who sold it us but I'm reluctant to buy another because of the quality they seem to be, is this just a bad one or are they just not that we'll made

Atoms are crap, ok for kids I guess. MBS makes great boards though. Definitely dont recommend an Atom for an adult.

older version of comp 16(2005) is better than 2006's model because it has RCC deck.

Hi can't post a pic of the comp 16 I was buying as I haven't got it after nearly 2 weeks so the guy selling has agreed to refund me so I'm still board less there's a practically brand new comp95 for sale so might go for that one instead of a 16

But was there not a picture of the board posted on the site you ordered from? Did you buy it off a SD member? I hope not because sounds like a complicated transaction. Save up and spend $400 or $500 on a new board and you wont regret it. If sweating, jumping and falling down sounds like something you will enjoy doing than I have no doubt that you will be glad you got a top of the line board and it will make a huge difference in the overall experience.
