Mountainboarding on magazine cover!

Post by BDirthead » Thu Feb 26, 2015 9:31 am

One of my students during last year's Boy Scout mountainboard activity. National recognition on a magazine that reaches hundreds of thousands youths :) I'm pretty stoked right now!

Correction: this magazine issue will reach over 1 million kids!
We hit a home run with this one, and it opens the door to more scout reservations adding mountainboarding to their youth activity programs. I am currently pursuing Camp Pico Blanco to adding this into their summer program :)

Doing another mountainboard session with the Boy Scouts at Camp Cutter this weekend. It should be a blast :)

Gald to see you're active BDirt
I retired last week.
I am a bit gun shy about riding street after a "seemingly nothing wipeout" landing on my left forearm guard caused my forearm and left hand to be numb for over 2 months. Could not even close a pair of fingernail clippers with my thumb and forefinger.
I miss riding but am not sure whether it is worth losing the use of a hand.
Maybe I'm finally just too old.

I don't think you are quite "too old" yet, however the body does take longer to heal. I hope you make a full recovery, and get back to that street style riding that we all LOVE :)
