Are they any good?
Anyone tried the Munro brakes?

I've not tried them myself, but I know the cable disc brakes are good. The only issue I can see with them is the lack of protection for the disc.... If the disc gets bent by rocks it will likely need replacing, I guess it depends on what kind of terrain you'll be using it on.
A more robust alternative would be a Magura brake based system, they don't offer quite the same stopping power of a disc brake, but is loads more effective than an MBS V brake. Trampa make them for their trucks, but if your a practical person you can probably make your own, there used to be a guy in the UK made them, but he stopped a couple of years ago, they were called ABS (Alpine braking systems)
Or just buy a Nosno with their Hope hydraulic disc brakes with rockguards!;-)
