I'm looking into it. The thing is that these messages are left by programs not people, so warnings don't work.

The warning was general. So people are aware this site is being moderated. We had a few spammers who joined to promote their MB products in the past.

Do these spamming programs not have to register as members before they? If so these spamming programs and spambots, have become more sophisticated.
Seems like McC had implemented membership registration before posting. I could be wrong.

We seem to be attracting a lot more spam posts than in the past.
It use to be possible to ban an IP address. Can't find that option now.
Can that still be done?

There is an option but it's hidden in the admin panel. I banned the IP involved in this spam, let's see how this goes.

Maybe a new area to this site could be a trade section where mountainboard centers and company's can promote there product freely? Excludes an important section of the sport otherwise, and there isn't that many of us anymore. Just an idea.
