Brakes for Scrub Quasar 2 ??

Post by Sophie » Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:08 am

Hiya people

Any one know if the standard scrub channel truck brakes are suitable for the Quasar 2 ? ( http://www.powerkiteshop.com/boards/scrubquasar2.htm )

And are they the same as Scrub Alu Truck brakes?

I'm about to try board joring with my German Shorthaired Pointer :p

Make sure you don't catch him or the lead up. A lead wrapped around a wheel will stop you sharp ish. A harness is preferred for the dog over a collar.

Yes thanks don't want either of us getting hurt, I've got a harness ordered (long euro which should hopefully fit him really well) and a line being made for what I'm going to do (has anti shock section / adjustable etc).

And thanks for the warning yes I'll have to be careful with the line, I'm going to train him on the harness before I get on a board. He's also a gundog and will stop (sit) and also come back to whistle commands so I can drop the line or chuck it away from me if needed and not worry about him running off.

Hunting dogs tend to enjoy this sort of thing and it keeps them fit. I'd get a lid and some wrist guards on as well. It's the one time you're more likely to fall face first if it all goes wrong.

Get some photos once he is all trained up. It would be good to see him in action. Have fun.
