Thick or Slim for street?

Well, I'm getting serious about riding.

Anyway, I bought my Comp 95 from some guy on craigslist for $200 dollars used once.

I noticed that the board Matrix trucks weigh a ton. I'm thinking on asking for a mountainboard board deck for My birthday which is coming up soon.

I want a thinner deck with some lighter trucks (Noticed Skate trucks get lots of hate here)

I was thinking on a scrub deck but Any suggestions?

Comp 95 is a good freestyle deck, but Either the matrix conversion or buying matrix pro trucks would reduce the weight by at least 600g total.

That's actually a good idea. I'll check those out.

A thin deck will just bottom out or snap go for a decent one that will be strong thick but light(ish) save your weight elsewhere. I take the doughnuts outta my pockets before i ride this saves weight and doughnuts!
