when I was little a relative visited who had a longboard with rubber dirt wheels that fit on the standard trucks, I don't know if they were solid or not. he said they used risers to push the trucks away from the board and they had that "V" construction tread, kinda like the photo. maybe something akin to these http://xtwheelz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=180
What are the differences between these and mountain board trucks? Does anyone have any experience with these, I'm mostly interested in a dirt windboard...

I have some for my Longboard, pretty fun but they suck in anything but the dry.

I have some of those, came on a Creep skateboard from the early 90's or so.
Very wobbly due to the high center of gravity, takes a while to get used to the deep bend while pushing. Would probably be pretty bumpy on a MB, since they're solid, not pneumatic.
