Might be man.. I've heard nothing but great things about them... Well, apart from the problem you had.. You should take it back, it's worth a shot, stuff like that happens with all brands.. Everyone saying it's a great product and then a duff batch hits the streets.. I guess only time will tell with the one I've got.. Hope to be posting vids soon :D

went for a skate day out during my birthday, my wife surprised me with a new 1080p and LCD backpack, had to bench my older 960p that day (sold as of this moment)... i had an 'oh-no' moment with it though, wouldn't turn on at first. turns out i had to update the 1080p's firmware so it can accept the LCD. :D

For post production, You may want to look into AVS4YOU downloadable editing software. It's a Brit. based company and the price when I purchased it was $59.00. That includes a permanent subscription which offers several programs incl. vid and aud. editors, players, converters, and other stuff I don't understand. The trick to video editing,.... Save often during the project. Also, current tv has great tutorials on filming and editing.

Got my GoPro, just love getting back into filming and editing. Works great with Final Cut, just need to convert it to AIC but not a problem really. Anyone see Final Cut Pro X? Looks like a pile of bull shit. They've basically turned it into some consumer wank, it's basically iMovie pro.
