how do you fund mountainboarding?

how do you fund mountainboarding?

Post by Ben » Fri Sep 28, 2012 9:00 am

what is it that you do in order to fund your mountainboarding addiction?

job/save/steal/parents/lottery/inheritance/job seekers allowance/begging/bargain hunting/loan/gambling/birthday money etc etc

personally i work as a metalworker/blacksmith and i save, added bonus of recently inheriting a bit of money which will help with my studying and there for free other money towards replacing parts/pads and upgrading and trying new hardware.

I want to be a medieval blacksmith that works in a badly designed building with a thatch roof that catches fire once in a while and I desperately try to stop it spreading by throwing buckets of water on it but my attempts are feeble.

I have a lot of trouble in that part of my life. I've been rejected so many times so many jobs I can't count. I even tried to make it in mountainboarding as an instructor just for some pocket money.

I became a game tester specifically to buy a mountainboard. I have a psychology BA and a licence to teach psychology(or related topics) in high school, which amount to nothing in a city dominated by IT and sale representatives.

So as I am writing this, I took a break from writing the script/book for an upcoming Sin City/Max Payne styled webcomic that I want to start with a friend of mine.

Maybe through some amazing luck the story and style will stick and I could afford food in the future.

I repair computers and servers in the daytime to feed the family and repair games consoles in the evening to feed my habit.

Eachtime I shell out on mountainboard gear I tell myself this is the last thing I'll need to buy, I'm sure a few of you must know that feeling?

When ever I want to buy something new, I typically just cut back on other extras like food or utilities.

Chances of winning the lottery are pretty slim so must work to fund my gear. I make choices also to cut back on things normally people consider standard like cable TV, going out for dinner every week or so, buy fancy fashionable cloths, etc...

Do a video of you playing guitar while riding a mountainboard.
I'll love you long time if you perform Late Goodbye by POTF.
