I can't get a Avatar!!!!!

I've tried and tried but can't seem to get one.
I go to the edit avatar bit and this comes up....

try again, you were on limited access, I have to manually give everyone their advanced rights to keep the spammers from taking over.

This is typically not the solution used. Spammers etc will use bots to automate sign up and spamming on forums, so you just need a decent CAPTCHA app that the bots can't solve.

I used to use one that put up a picture of a board part and ask you what it was (Hub, deck, truck etc) before you were allowed to register.
