Longboard wheels on my ATB?
I have been doing alot of street cruising / carving and wanted to install some longboard street wheels on my board. Has anyone done this before and if so what bearing would I need. I have an old Earthboard with skate style trucks.

You might have to redrill and or wedge/dewedge to get the angle you want but Trampa do 10mm trucks and bearings.

Should be relatively straight forward.

You might have to look outside the skate scene. If I remember correctly a "typical" 608 skate bearing is 8mm inside and 22mm outside. I can't remember what the outer measurement is on a ATB bearing. seismic used to do 10mm tekton skate bearings for downhill. You used to be able to get 10mm skate trucks for longboards but I'm not sure if you still can.
If you can get Tektons in 10mm they have the bearing, spacer and speed ring all built together which would save you having to find the other bits in a non standard size.
Newtons Shred sell Seismic stuff in the UK but don't stock 10mm bearings as a rule but Alex/Kami/Marcus will probably be able to order you some in or point you in the direction of someone who can supply them for you.
Give them a call on 0208 1339 420 and explain what you want. They might even be able to get you some 10mm trucks from somewhere else as well.
Other than that you could try eBay or industrial merchants. Bearings are used in so many other industries you should be able to find some 10x22mm somewhere.

Longboard wheels on my ATB?
6900 are apparently what you need.

Would appear to be widely used but more expensive than 608's.

Let me know if it works. Surf Rodz trucks are 10mm and they sell bearings as well. Not sure if you can get them in the UK though.

If Newton's can't get you some in Sickboards in the Netherlands do the Seismic ones at a whopping 71 euro but also Bear (Landyachtz) ones for a more reasonable 21 Euro:

http://www.sickboards.nl/en/bearings/751-bear-bearings-10mm-abec-7.html#
Ive not used them personally but I know other people in the UK have and have had no issues with them.
They have 10mm axle trucks as well.
