Winterberg Mountainboard park - Germany

This amazing mountainboard track in the heart of Germany has plenty to boast about, not onlyis it in possession of the only chairlift access atb terrain park in Germany, but it also it contains what may be one of the longest boardercross tracks in the world(1.2 km).

But Winterberg's mountainboard park isnt just about racing, it also sports a nice freestyle area consisting of tables, doubles, rails, a wall ride, and a tree jib, and since it was designed by UK pro rider and experienced track designer Tom Kirkman you know it was built with us mountainboarders in mind.

I asked a guy i know, who was based in central Germany ,when he was in the army. He said it took him around 12hrs to drive from here in Leeds, to get there. I think a road trip could well be planned for next year.

It's a 40+ foot gap saw that on facebook today.... Insane..But danny ways mega ramp shit still takes the cake...

Its an awesome track, went there last September, just for the weekend, drove over Friday night, rode Saturday, drove back on Sunday. Think they're over estimating the length a bit. If you include riding the road between the top lift station and the start of the track, and the grass area between the bottom of the track and the bttom lift station, it's maybe about 700m. Still an awesome track though, with berms so big I didn't know what to do with them. As someone who doesn't like riding boarderx tracks, this is about the only BX track I've ever enjoyed.

Right, now there would be a place to do a SD meet, given most of us would be injured and out of commission by the first hour, but it would be fun to say we did it :p
