New MBS trucks?

Re: New MBS trucks?
Now that these things have been out for a while, are they proving to be pretty strong or are people bending them?
Re: New MBS trucks?
I think it's going to be hard to answer that question. Here's my impression from the world BX champs in Serbia:
- a total of 3 people were rocking these new trucks (one of them finished 4th pro).
- one broke the plastic base on a double backflip attempt (so that says nothing about their strength, it's kind of a crazy trick with lots of forces going through all parts).
- TONS of people were riding trampas and bending them.
- I haven't heard much about people bending MBS Matrix trucks.
So, it's tough to say. People aren't trusting the new trucks, not because they're springless, but because they're too turny. IMHO that trust issue could be solved with red shocks (which to this day don't exist) and perhaps a metal top truck.

mbs matrix pro hangers bend as well as trampa vertigo. i also bend matrix lite hangers
Re: New MBS trucks?
Fair enough, but then the question becomes: does one bend faster than the other?
I don't know, I seem to hurt myself before I bend trucks. But the one event I went to seemed to indicate that Trampas bent more (I'd say there was about half of each kind)

Re: New MBS trucks?
I think the problem is with the baseplate material. I don't where they get it or it's composition. I've had some knockoff plastic top plates for more than two years now. They barely stretched.
And I've had an interesting conversation recently in which I found out CNC milling metal ones is really cost inneficient.
For my personal weight I don't mind plastic, but I do believe the baseplate is too small to handle the force a pro rider can put on the board.
This is just me but there's something overall about this design that's off putting for me. Everything is thin!

How do they compare for speed wobble?
